Do you miss the captivating lively street life of Istanbul?

In these different and difficult pandemic times, we have not been able to normally enjoy the bustling and wild street life of the cities. Everything has fallen silent. Do you miss the lively urban vibe as much as I do? Luckily, technology can help us and enable us to once again experience together the unique atmosphere of the streets in Istanbul. Please join me for this joy, let´s feel the music and dance together!

Lately, lives all over the world have been quieter than usual, and so has my blog.

However, my silence has not been caused by the virus, but by the fact that I have given birth to my debut book “Sinä, Sagani – Saattohoito saaressa “.

This book is the true story of one´s own brave life and also of one´s own death. Despite its serious subject matter, the book is also a nature-respecting, philosophical and spiritual book of light. It also serves as a peer support and a reviewer of our own path – not to mention humor and gratitude. (Unfortunately, the book can only be found in Finnish.)
More information about the book can be found: http://bit.ly/3qPStoR or order as an e-book: https://www.ellibs.com/fi/books/publisher/0/kirjokansi

Surprisingly, you can also find small and special connections with Istanbul in the book; so Istanbul has also been involved in my writing process. Oh, how much I have longed for the normal atmosphere and life of Istanbul in these quiet times! And how often in my mind I have wandered in these places that I love and that are usually bursting with life, music and dancing. Namely, when you walk the streets of Istanbul or use public transport, there is really no way you can not come across street artists…

So now I want to share these atmospheres with you. The videos start from Kadıköy and end in Beyoğlu and Taksim. You’ll also see a wide variety of different happenings and everything in between. That is why it’s certain that Istanbul will seduce you. Istanbul has it all.

The most culturally diverse areas are Kadıköy and Moda on the Asian side, which you can see on these videos. They are extremely vibrant art districts in the city – perhaps my favorite areas of Istanbul! Some of the videos are from the city’s subways, others from the Bosphorus ferries travelling from Europe to Asia. Some of the videos also depict the numerous street artists performing on the famous 1.5 kilometers long pedestrianised İstiklal Street (İstiklal Caddesi), located on the European side in Beyoğlu.

So welcome to enjoy the incredibly lively and varied street life of Istanbul!
